Hello, I’m Eury. You can call me Eury or Eu. I used to blog at Bishie Holic and A Flower Bookmark.
Bishie Holic started as a space to introduce obscure manga, but over the years it slowly expanded into reviewing otome games as well. A Flower Bookmark came later, a small side blog where I kept my book reviews (mostly MM English novels).
But somewhere along the way, I realized something: I’m not really a reviewer.
I don’t particularly enjoy rating stories or judging whether they’re “good” or “bad.” What I enjoy is talking about stories—the moments that delighted me, the scenes that confused me, the characters that stayed in my head long after I finished reading.
In other words, I like exploring my experience with stories.
But let’s face it. Running two blogs in the middle of life simply isn’t sustainable in the long run. As difficult as it is to say goodbye to Bishie Holic (after more than ten years) and A Flower Bookmark (five years), they no longer feel like the right space for what I want to write.
So I started Pocketful of Tales.
Here, I’ll be talking about stories in all kinds of forms—novels (both English and translated), manga, anime, games (mostly gacha games and visual novels), Japanese, Chinese, and Korean dramas, non-fiction, and anything else that captures my attention.
If a story fascinates me, confuses me, entertains me, or lingers in my mind, chances are I’ll be talking about it here.
Just a pocketful of tales I’ve gathered along the way.
**PS I may talk about some spoilers and other spoilery things. Consider yourself warned. 🙂
